 Sunroom Warranty Service Request 

In order to provide our customers quality support we offer helpful product warranty information and on-line request for service.  The following preventive measures should be maintained to reduce potential damage to your sunroom.

Plants, mulch and all other items should not be planted or placed as to where it will come in contact with the sunroom walls.  To prevent water intrusion; sod, mulch, rocks and all other items should never be planted or placed as to where it is equal to or higher than the sunrooms finished floor height.

We do not warrant water intrusion underneath sunroom walls due to rising waters, improper grading, or irrigation systems (sprinkler).

Our exclusive process of tying your new sunroom into your existing roof is a proven and reliable method.  When the roof material is asphalt shingles the quality (condition) of the asphalt shingles is a factor in preventing water intrusion.  The life expectancy of an asphalt shingle roof is approximately 15-20 years.  Shingles that are near the end of their life expectancy become dry and brittle.  As we tie into your existing structure we remove several courses of the existing shingles, install a waterproof membrane that bridges the two structures and reinstall your existing shingles.  Water intrusion due to existing shingles in poor condition is not covered.

In the instance your sunroom is built on a wood structure "deck" as compared to a concrete slab, Patterson Home Improvements uses quality pressure treated wood for the construction of the deck.  Exposed, exterior deck and its components (stairs and railings) are warranted for one year, parts and labor.  It is suggested that an annual treatment of water sealer be applied to all exposed wood to extend the life of these areas.  Non exposed deck i.e. under structure (inside sunroom) is not warranted against water or termite damage or damage due to erosion.

When connecting sunrooms to existing chimneys we don not warrant water intrusion at this point.  When connecting to a chimney our procedure is to install flashing under and behind the chimney chase.  Occasionally, water intrusion can be found through the chimney cap or cricket (water deflector).  In order to correct water leaks at a chimney you may need to remove and replace siding (if installed), the chimney cap and or cricket at owners expense.

Skylights installed by Patterson Home Improvements in your sunroom at the original time of construction is warranted for 1 (one) year material and labor.

Personal effects and flooring damage due to water intrusion is not covered by the warranty.

Patterson Home Improvements sunrooms are built following local code including hurricane standards.

Warranty does not start until contract is paid in full.
